# How to Claim Another Child on DashPledge

## Claiming another child

If you have more than one child participating in a DashPledge fundraiser, you can connect multiple eligible children to the same parent or guardian account.

You generally **do not need to create a separate DashPledge account for each child**.

Keeping participating children under one account makes it easier to access their fundraisers, track progress, and share each child's fundraising page.

## Before you begin

Make sure the additional child has already been added to the participating school's fundraiser.

It can help to know:

- Your child's school
- Your child's teacher
- Your child's name
- The fundraiser they're participating in

The additional child must also be eligible to be claimed.

## 1. Sign in to your existing account

Sign in using the same DashPledge parent or guardian account you used to claim your first child.

Do not create another account just because another child is participating.

## 2. Choose the option to claim another child

After your first child has been claimed, DashPledge may provide an option such as **Claim Another Child**.

Select this option to begin connecting another eligible child to your account.

## 3. Find the additional child

Follow the prompts to locate the child you want to add.

Depending on the fundraiser, you may need to confirm information such as:

- School
- Teacher
- Child

Carefully review the information before selecting the child.

## 4. Complete the claim

Once you've found the correct child, follow the instructions to complete the claim.

After a successful claim, the additional child will be connected to your existing parent or guardian account.

## 5. Prepare the child's fundraiser

Each participating child can have their own fundraising page and progress.

Depending on the fundraiser, you may be able to review or personalize information such as:

- Fundraiser story or message
- Student photo, when permitted
- Fundraising goal
- Fundraiser information
- Sharing options

Complete the available setup steps for the newly claimed child.

## Does each child have a separate fundraising page?

Yes. Participating children can have their own fundraising pages associated with the school's overall campaign.

This allows supporters to visit and share the appropriate child's fundraising page and lets families follow each child's individual progress.

## Does each child have a different fundraising link?

Yes. Each published child fundraiser has its own public fundraising link.

When sharing fundraisers for multiple children, make sure you're sharing the correct link or QR code for the child you intend to support.

## What if I forgot to claim one of my children?

You can return to your DashPledge account and claim another eligible child later.

If DashPledge recognizes that another eligible child remains unclaimed, you may also see a reminder or receive a notification encouraging you to complete the claim.

## What if the other child doesn't appear?

First, confirm that you're looking under the correct school and teacher.

The child may:

- Not yet be included in the fundraiser roster
- Be associated with another teacher
- Already be claimed
- Not currently be eligible for the fundraiser

Do not create a duplicate child or another parent account.

Visit **Troubleshooting** if you still can't locate the child.

## What if my children attend different schools?

Your DashPledge account may be able to connect you with eligible participating children across different fundraisers.

Follow the available claim process and select the correct school, teacher, and child for each fundraiser.

You should continue using your existing parent or guardian account rather than creating duplicate accounts.

## How do I switch between my children's fundraisers?

Once multiple children are connected to your account, your parent dashboard can provide access to the participating children associated with your account.

Select the appropriate child when you want to view or manage that child's fundraiser and progress.

## What's next?

After all eligible children have been claimed, make sure each child's fundraiser is ready to share.

Continue with the **Parents & Students** guides to learn how to personalize a child's fundraiser, publish the fundraising page, use sharing links and QR codes, and track fundraising progress.
