# How to Join Your School’s Fundraiser

## Joining a school fundraiser

If your school is running a fundraiser with DashPledge, you can join the campaign by creating or signing in to your DashPledge account and connecting to the participating school.

The steps you see may vary depending on whether you're joining as a parent or guardian or as a teacher.

## Before you begin

Make sure you're joining the correct fundraiser for your school.

It can help to have the following information available:

- Your school name
- Your DashPledge account email
- Your child's name if you're a parent or guardian
- Your child's teacher or classroom
- Campaign or signup information provided by your school

If your school provided a specific DashPledge signup or invitation link, use that link when possible.

## 1. Sign in or create an account

If you already have a DashPledge account, sign in using your existing account.

If you're new to DashPledge, create an account and select the role that matches how you're participating.

Avoid creating another account if you already have one.

## 2. Find your school

During the signup or connection process, select the participating school associated with the fundraiser.

Make sure the school information matches the fundraiser invitation you received.

If you cannot find your school, check the spelling and confirm that your school's fundraiser is available in DashPledge.

## 3. Connect to the fundraiser

After selecting your school, DashPledge will help connect you to the appropriate fundraiser.

The next steps depend on your role.

### Parents and guardians

Parents and guardians can locate their participating child and connect the child's fundraiser to their DashPledge account.

You may be asked to select or confirm information such as:

- School
- Teacher
- Child

After finding the correct child, follow the instructions to claim the child.

### Teachers

Teachers can connect to the school and campaign associated with their classroom.

Once the connection is completed, participating students and classroom fundraising tools can become available through the Teacher Dashboard.

## 4. Complete the connection

Review the information displayed before completing the process.

Make sure you've selected the correct school, teacher, child, or campaign.

After the connection is completed, DashPledge will direct you to the appropriate dashboard or next step.

## What if I have more than one child participating?

If more than one of your children is participating in the fundraiser, you may be able to connect additional eligible children to the same parent or guardian account.

You do not need to create a separate parent account for each child.

Visit the **Parents & Students** section for instructions on claiming and managing participating children.

## What if I can't find my child?

If your school appears but your child does not, first confirm that you selected the correct school and teacher.

Your child's information may not yet be available, may be associated with another classroom, or may already have been claimed.

Do not create a duplicate child record.

Visit the **Troubleshooting** section if you still cannot locate your child.

## What if I can't find my teacher?

Confirm that you selected the correct school first.

Teacher availability is based on the information associated with the participating fundraiser.

If the correct teacher is not listed, contact your school or visit the **Troubleshooting** section for additional help.

## What if I joined the wrong school or fundraiser?

Do not create another account to correct the problem.

Visit the **Troubleshooting** section or contact DashPledge Support for help correcting the connection.
