# How to Manage Your Payout Bank Account

## Managing your payout bank account

Your organization's payout bank account is where eligible Stripe payouts are sent.

Authorized organizers can review and manage the payout bank account from:

**Settings → Payout Setup → Bank Account**

For security, DashPledge displays only limited bank information and does not show the complete bank account number.

## How to find your bank account settings

Sign in to your DashPledge Organizer Dashboard.

Then:

1. Select **Settings**.
2. Select **Payout Setup**.
3. Find the **Bank Account** section.

The page displays the available information about the bank account connected for payouts.

## What does Payouts Enabled mean?

If the Bank Account section shows **Payouts Enabled**, the connected Stripe account is currently enabled to receive payouts according to Stripe's account status and requirements.

This does not mean every donation is immediately available for transfer.

Funds must still move through Stripe's payment-processing and payout process.

## Why can I only see part of the bank account number?

DashPledge displays limited bank-account information to help protect sensitive financial data.

You may see only enough information to recognize the payout account, such as the bank name and last few digits of the account.

The complete account number should not be displayed throughout the ordinary Organizer Dashboard.

## How do I change the payout bank account?

From:

**Settings → Payout Setup → Bank Account**

select **Manage Bank**.

Use the secure connected-account experience to review or update the bank account associated with your organization's Stripe payouts.

Do not send new banking credentials to DashPledge through email, chat, or an ordinary support request.

## Who should change the bank account?

Only an authorized representative of the school or organization should change payout banking information.

Bank-account changes can affect where fundraiser proceeds are sent.

Before making a change, make sure you:

- Are signed in to the correct organizer account
- Are managing the correct organization
- Are authorized to change the organization's payout information
- Have verified the new banking information

## What should I check before changing the bank account?

Before making a change, review the current organization and Stripe connection.

Confirm that you're working from:

**Settings → Payout Setup**

and that the Stripe Connect section belongs to the intended organization.

Because banking changes affect fundraiser proceeds, don't make changes while you're unsure which organization or account you're managing.

## What happens after I change the bank account?

Stripe may require additional verification after a banking change.

After completing the appropriate update:

1. Return to **Settings → Payout Setup**.
2. Review the Bank Account section.
3. Review the Stripe Connect status.
4. Select **Refresh Connection** when appropriate.
5. Check Stripe for any new requirements.

Do not assume the new bank account is fully ready until the connected account reflects the expected status.

## Will changing the bank account affect existing donations?

Changing the payout bank account does not change the fundraiser donation records themselves.

Existing eligible donations remain associated with the organization and applicable campaign.

The banking change affects where applicable future Stripe payouts are sent according to Stripe's processing rules.

## Will changing the bank account change student fundraising totals?

No.

Student fundraising progress is based on eligible donations associated with the student's mini-fundraiser.

Changing the organization's payout bank account does not change:

- Student fundraising totals
- Main campaign amount raised
- Activity progress
- Leaderboards
- Achievements

## Will changing the bank account affect pending funds?

Pending and available funds remain subject to Stripe's processing and connected-account rules.

If you change important payout information while funds are processing, review the Stripe account afterward to understand how the change affects upcoming payouts.

## Where can I see funds waiting for payout?

At the top of **Payout Setup**, review:

- **Available Balance** — funds currently available for Stripe payout
- **Pending Balance** — funds still processing through Stripe
- **Recent Paid Out** — summary of recent payout activity

These balances help you understand the current stage of fundraiser proceeds.

## Where can I see completed payouts?

Scroll to **Recent Payouts**.

This section can show information such as:

- Date
- Amount
- Method

Use **Open Stripe** when you need additional connected-account payout details.

## What if the wrong bank account is displayed?

Do not disconnect Stripe or create another connected account just to correct the banking information.

Select **Manage Bank** and review the connected account securely.

If you don't recognize the account or believe the organization is connected incorrectly, stop before making further changes and contact DashPledge Support.

## What if Payouts Enabled disappears?

If the account no longer shows payouts as enabled, open Stripe and check for outstanding account requirements.

Stripe may require additional:

- Identity verification
- Organization information
- Banking verification
- Other connected-account information

Complete required information through Stripe's secure experience.

## Why is Stripe asking me to verify the new bank account?

Stripe may require verification when financial information changes.

This helps protect the connected account and ensures payouts are sent to an eligible destination.

Follow the instructions provided directly through Stripe.

## What if a payout was sent to my previous bank account?

Review the payout information in **Recent Payouts** and through **Open Stripe**.

Do not attempt to create an offsetting donation or alter campaign records.

If the payout was sent to an unexpected account, contact Stripe and DashPledge Support as appropriate so the payout can be reviewed.

## Can DashPledge Support change my bank account for me?

Sensitive banking changes should be completed through the secure connected Stripe experience rather than by sending banking credentials to a support representative.

DashPledge Support can help you locate the appropriate controls or investigate an account connection issue without asking you to provide your banking password.

## Should I send a voided check or bank statement through regular support?

Do not send sensitive financial documents through an ordinary support message unless DashPledge or Stripe provides a specifically approved secure process requesting them.

If Stripe requires documentation, follow the instructions provided directly through Stripe's secure verification experience.

## Do parents, teachers, or students need access to the bank account?

No.

The organization's payout banking information is for authorized organization representatives.

Parents, teachers, and students do not need access to the organization's payout bank account to participate in DashPledge.

Student mini-fundraiser proceeds remain part of the organization's overall campaign and payout structure.

## Protecting your banking information

Never send the following through ordinary DashPledge communications:

- Online banking passwords
- Full bank account credentials
- Stripe passwords
- Debit card PINs
- Full payment card information
- Security codes

Use **Manage Bank** and the secure Stripe experience for sensitive banking changes.

## What if I need help?

If you have a bank-account or payout problem:

1. Review **Settings → Payout Setup**.
2. Check the Bank Account status.
3. Check Stripe Connect status.
4. Select **Open Stripe** for additional account information.
5. Review outstanding Stripe requirements.

If the issue remains, contact DashPledge Support without sending sensitive banking credentials.
