# How to Share Your Organization’s Fundraiser

## Sharing your organization’s fundraiser

Once your DashPledge fundraiser is published, organizers can share the organization’s main fundraising page with families, supporters, and the community.

The main campaign page represents the overall school or organization fundraiser and is different from an individual student’s fundraising page.

## How to open your fundraiser

Sign in to your DashPledge Organizer Dashboard and select **My Campaigns**.

Find the campaign you want to share.

Make sure you select the correct campaign, especially if your organization has more than one fundraiser.

## Use the Share option

On the campaign card, select **Share** to access the available sharing options for that fundraiser.

Use the campaign’s public fundraising link when you want supporters to reach the organization’s main fundraiser.

## View the fundraiser before sharing

Before sharing your campaign widely, select **View** to open the public fundraising page.

Review the page and confirm that important information appears correctly, including:

- Organization or school name
- Fundraiser name
- Campaign description
- Fundraising goal
- Campaign dates
- Fundraising progress
- Campaign images or video
- Donation options

If something looks incorrect, review the appropriate campaign settings before sharing the page.

## Preview the fundraiser from Campaign Settings

Organizers can also open:

**Fundraiser Admin → Campaign Settings**

and select **Preview Fundraiser Page**.

This is especially useful after changing public-facing campaign information.

## Share the fundraiser link

The public campaign link can be shared through appropriate channels such as:

- Email
- Text messages
- School communications
- Family communications
- Social media
- Newsletters
- School-approved websites
- Community communications

Include a short explanation so supporters understand what the fundraiser is for.

## What should I say when sharing?

Keep the message simple and specific.

For example:

> Our school is fundraising with DashPledge! Visit our fundraising page to learn more about our campaign and support our goal. Thank you for supporting our students and school community.

You can customize the message to explain what your fundraiser supports.

## What is the difference between the main fundraiser and a student fundraiser?

The **main fundraiser** represents the overall school or organization campaign.

An **individual student fundraiser** is connected to a participating student and remains part of the overall campaign.

This distinction is important when deciding which page to share.

## When should I share the main campaign page?

Share the organization's main fundraiser when you want supporters to learn about or contribute to the overall campaign rather than a particular student.

Examples include:

- School-wide emails
- Organization newsletters
- School websites
- Community announcements
- General social-media posts
- Campaign-wide QR materials

## When should families share a student fundraiser?

Parents and guardians should use their child's individual fundraising page when they want supporters to reach that specific student's fundraiser.

Each published student fundraiser can have its own public URL and QR code.

Families should use the sharing tools available through their parent experience rather than copying another student's fundraiser.

## Do donations from student pages count toward the overall campaign?

Eligible donations associated with participating student fundraisers contribute to the appropriate campaign according to DashPledge's fundraiser relationships.

This allows DashPledge to track individual fundraising progress while also maintaining overall campaign progress.

## Can I use a QR code for the main fundraiser?

When a campaign QR code is available, organizers can use it to direct supporters to the organization's main public fundraising page.

Before printing or distributing a QR code, scan it yourself and confirm that it opens the intended fundraiser.

## Can I print the fundraiser link or QR code?

Yes, when appropriate.

A public fundraiser link or QR code can be included on school-approved materials such as:

- Flyers
- Posters
- Event materials
- Newsletters
- Parent communications

Always test the link or QR code before distributing printed materials.

## Can I share the fundraiser before it starts?

A campaign may exist before its scheduled start date, but its public availability depends on the campaign's publishing status and configuration.

Use **View** or **Preview Fundraiser Page** to confirm what supporters will see.

Do not assume a fundraiser is publicly ready simply because it appears in My Campaigns.

## Can I continue sharing during the campaign?

Yes.

Organizers can continue promoting an active fundraiser throughout the campaign.

Campaign progress and deadline communications can also help encourage continued participation as the fundraiser moves toward its end date.

## What if the Share link doesn't work?

First:

1. Confirm that you're viewing the correct campaign.
2. Confirm that the campaign has been published.
3. Open **View** or **Preview Fundraiser Page**.
4. Try the public page yourself.

If the fundraiser still doesn't open correctly, review **Campaign Health** under Campaign Settings.

If the problem continues, visit **Troubleshooting** or contact DashPledge Support.

## What if the fundraiser page shows outdated information?

If you recently changed campaign information:

1. Make sure the changes were saved.
2. Review the campaign again.
3. Use the appropriate campaign synchronization option when required.
4. Open **Preview Fundraiser Page**.

Do not repeatedly create or submit another campaign to correct an existing fundraiser.

## Protecting participant privacy when sharing

The organization's public campaign page should only display information appropriate for supporters.

Student and supporter information should follow the campaign's privacy settings.

When sharing campaign materials, avoid including unnecessary private information about students, families, teachers, or donors.

Visit **Privacy & Security** for additional guidance.

## What's next?

Continue sharing the fundraiser throughout the active campaign and monitor progress from your Organizer Dashboard.
