# How to View and Manage Your Students

## Viewing your students

Once your teacher account is connected to a participating DashPledge fundraiser, you can view students assigned to your classroom from your Teacher Dashboard.

Your student list helps you monitor participation, activity, fundraising progress, and other information available for the campaign.

## 1. Sign in to your Teacher Dashboard

Sign in to DashPledge using your teacher account.

From your Teacher Dashboard, open **My Students** to view the students currently assigned to you.

## 2. Review your student list

The My Students page displays participating students associated with your classroom and fundraiser.

Depending on the campaign, you may see information such as:

- Student name
- Participation or claim status
- Activity progress
- Reading minutes
- Fundraising progress
- Achievements or milestones
- Fundraiser status

Available information depends on the type of fundraiser.

## What does a student's claim status mean?

A student's claim status indicates whether an eligible parent or guardian has connected the student to a DashPledge parent account.

A student may appear as **Claimed** or **Unclaimed**.

### Claimed

A claimed student has been successfully connected to a parent or guardian account.

Depending on the fundraiser, the family may be able to personalize, publish, and share the student's fundraising page.

### Unclaimed

An unclaimed student is included in the fundraiser roster but has not yet been connected to a parent or guardian account.

Teachers should not claim students on behalf of parents or create duplicate students to change this status.

## Can I open a student’s fundraiser?

When a student's fundraiser has been claimed and published, DashPledge may provide an option to open the student's available fundraising page.

If the fundraiser isn't published yet, a public page may not be available.

## Can I add students myself?

Student roster management is controlled by the school's fundraiser setup and the permissions provided to your account.

If an expected student is missing, don't create a duplicate student unless your role specifically provides an approved roster-management function.

Contact the fundraiser organizer if the roster needs to be corrected.

## What if a student is assigned to the wrong teacher?

Don't create another copy of the student.

Contact the fundraiser organizer or appropriate DashPledge administrator so the student's classroom assignment can be corrected.

Keeping one student record prevents problems with activity totals, fundraiser pages, donations, achievements, and reporting.

## What if one of my students is missing?

First, confirm that:

- You're signed in to the correct teacher account
- You're connected to the correct school
- You're connected to the correct campaign
- You're viewing the correct classroom

If the student still doesn't appear, the roster may not yet include the student or the student may be assigned to another teacher.

Contact the fundraiser organizer if a roster correction is needed.

## Why does an unclaimed student appear in my classroom?

Students can be added to the school fundraiser roster before a parent or guardian claims them.

This allows teachers and organizers to see the participating classroom roster while families complete the claiming process.

However, certain student fundraiser features may not become available until the student has been successfully claimed.

## Can I log activity for my students?

Depending on the campaign type, teachers may be able to record eligible activity for assigned students.

For a Read-a-thon, this can include logging reading minutes.

Always make sure you're recording activity for the correct student and date.

## Can I see how much students have raised?

When fundraising progress is available to teachers, the Teacher Dashboard can display fundraising information for assigned students or the classroom.

The information shown depends on the campaign and your permissions.

## Can I see student leaderboards?

Some campaigns include student or classroom leaderboards.

When enabled, the leaderboard can help teachers monitor participation and classroom progress.

Leaderboard visibility and student information depend on campaign settings and privacy controls.

## Can I edit a student’s fundraising page?

A student's personalized fundraising page is generally managed by the child's parent or guardian after the child has been claimed.

Teachers should use their classroom tools for student participation and activity rather than modifying a family's fundraiser information.

## Protecting student information

Only use student information available through DashPledge for the purposes of participating in and managing the school fundraiser.

Do not share private student information outside the appropriate fundraiser context.

For more information, visit **Privacy & Security**.
