Managing multiple children #
If you have more than one child participating in DashPledge, you can manage eligible children from the same parent or guardian account.
You do not need a separate parent account for each child.
Each child remains connected to their own fundraiser, progress, activity, and public fundraising page.
Viewing your participating children #
Sign in to your DashPledge parent or guardian account.
Your dashboard can show the participating children connected to your account.
Depending on the fundraiser, each child may have their own information, including:
- Fundraising total
- Fundraising goal
- Activity progress
- Fundraiser status
- Achievements
- Public fundraising page
- Sharing link and QR code
Switching between children #
Select the child whose information you want to view or manage.
Before making changes or recording activity, always check that you are working with the correct child.
This is especially important when logging reading minutes or sharing a fundraising page.
Does each child have a separate fundraiser? #
Yes.
Each participating child can have their own fundraiser connected to the school’s overall campaign.
This allows DashPledge to track each child’s fundraising and activity progress separately.
Does each child have a different fundraising link? #
Yes. Each published child fundraiser has its own public fundraising URL.
When sharing a fundraiser, make sure you’re using the link associated with the correct child.
The same applies to QR codes. Each child’s QR code should direct supporters to that child’s individual fundraising page.
Are donations tracked separately? #
Donations made through a child’s fundraising page can be associated with that child’s fundraiser.
This allows the parent dashboard to show individual fundraising progress while the school or organization can also track overall campaign progress.
Are reading minutes and activities tracked separately? #
Yes.
Activity such as reading minutes is recorded for the individual child.
If two children are participating in a Read-a-thon, make sure each reading session is recorded under the correct child.
Do not combine one child’s activity with another child’s activity.
Are achievements tracked separately? #
Yes.
Each child’s achievements and milestones are based on their own eligible fundraising or activity progress.
One child’s achievement does not automatically apply to their siblings.
Can my children have different teachers? #
Yes.
Children connected to the same parent account can be associated with different teachers or classrooms.
Always verify the selected child before viewing classroom information or recording activity.
What if my children are in different schools? #
Your parent account may be able to connect to eligible participating children from different schools or campaigns.
Continue using your existing DashPledge account when possible rather than creating a new account for each school.
The fundraiser, teacher, and campaign information displayed for each child will depend on the child’s individual participation.
What if one of my children is still missing? #
If another eligible child has not yet been connected to your account, use the available Claim Another Child option.
DashPledge may also remind you when another eligible child remains unclaimed.
Visit How to Claim Another Child on DashPledge for instructions.
What if I accidentally select the wrong child? #
Before saving an activity or editing fundraiser information, verify the child’s name shown on the page.
If you accidentally record information for the wrong child and cannot correct it using the available controls, don’t create additional entries to compensate for the mistake.
Visit Troubleshooting or contact DashPledge Support for assistance.
Can I share all of my children’s fundraisers? #
Yes.
You can share each published child’s individual fundraising page with supporters.
When sharing multiple fundraisers, clearly identify which link belongs to each child so supporters reach the intended fundraising page.
