Sharing your child’s fundraiser #
Once your child’s fundraiser has been published, you can share their fundraising page with family, friends, and other supporters.
Each published child fundraiser has its own public fundraising page, so make sure you share the link or QR code associated with the correct child.
1. Open your child’s fundraiser #
Sign in to your DashPledge parent or guardian account.
From your dashboard, select the child whose fundraiser you want to share.
If you have multiple participating children, make sure you’ve selected the correct child before copying or sharing the fundraising link.
2. Use the Share Page option #
When available, select Share Page to open or share your child’s public fundraising page.
This is the page supporters can visit to learn about the fundraiser, view available progress information, and make a donation.
3. Copy your child’s fundraising link #
You can use the copy-link option to copy your child’s public fundraiser URL.
You can then paste the link into places such as:
- Text messages
- Family or community group messages
- Social media
- Other appropriate communications
Before sending the link widely, open it once yourself to make sure it leads to the correct child’s fundraiser.
4. Share the QR code #
Your child’s fundraiser may also include an individual QR code.
When someone scans the QR code with a compatible phone or device, it directs them to your child’s public fundraising page.
QR codes can be useful for sharing through:
- Printed materials
- Family events
- School-approved materials
- In-person conversations
- Digital messages or graphics
Each child’s QR code is associated with that child’s fundraiser, so don’t assume the same QR code should be used for multiple children.
5. Share with family and friends #
A short personal message can make your fundraiser easier for supporters to understand.
For example:
We’re excited to participate in our school fundraiser! If you’d like to support us, you can visit our DashPledge fundraising page here. Thank you for your support!
You can personalize your message to match your child and fundraiser.
What will supporters see? #
When supporters open the fundraising link, they’ll see the public information available for that fundraiser.
Depending on the campaign settings, the page may include:
- School or organization information
- Fundraiser description
- Your child’s fundraiser story
- Student photo, when permitted
- Fundraising progress
- Activity progress
- Campaign photos or video
- Donation options
The information displayed depends on the fundraiser and its privacy settings.
Can supporters donate from the shared page? #
Yes. Supporters can use the public fundraising page to make an online donation when donations are available for the campaign.
The donation will be associated with the appropriate fundraiser according to the page they used.
For donation questions, visit Donations & Donors.
Can I share the school’s main fundraiser instead? #
Your school may also have a main campaign page that can be shared.
However, if you want supporters to reach your child’s individual fundraising page, use your child’s specific fundraiser link or QR code.
What if I have more than one child participating? #
Each participating child can have a separate public fundraising page.
When sharing fundraisers for multiple children, verify the child associated with each link or QR code.
Your parent dashboard can help you access the fundraiser for each connected child.
What if my link doesn’t work? #
First, confirm that your child’s fundraiser has been successfully published.
If the page still doesn’t open:
- Try copying the link again
- Make sure the entire link was copied
- Check that you’re sharing the correct child’s fundraiser
- Refresh your DashPledge dashboard and try again
If the problem continues, visit Troubleshooting.
Can I edit the fundraiser after sharing it? #
If editing is available, you can update your child’s fundraiser after it has been published.
The public fundraiser URL should continue to identify the same fundraiser, so you generally shouldn’t need to send supporters a new link after ordinary content updates.
After making changes, open the public page and verify that the updated information appears correctly.
Protect your child’s privacy when sharing #
Only share your child’s fundraiser with people and communities you’re comfortable reaching.
Avoid adding sensitive personal information to fundraising messages or public pages.
For additional information about student information and fundraiser visibility, visit Privacy & Security.
What’s next? #
After sharing the fundraiser, you can monitor your child’s fundraising and activity progress from DashPledge.
Continue with the Parents & Students guides to learn how to track your child’s progress and activity.
