Managing Campaign Settings #
Campaign Settings gives authorized organizers a central place to manage the configuration of an existing DashPledge fundraiser.
From this page, you can manage campaign information, goals and dates, participation, communications, fundraiser-page settings, donation options, campaign health, and other settings available for your fundraiser.
The exact settings can vary depending on the campaign type.
How to open Campaign Settings #
Sign in to your DashPledge Organizer Dashboard.
Then:
- Select Fundraiser Admin.
- Select Campaign Settings.
- Confirm that the correct fundraiser appears at the top of the page.
Always make sure you’re working with the intended campaign before changing any settings.
Campaign Overview #
Open Campaign Overview to manage the general information associated with the fundraiser.
This section includes campaign information such as its name, description, branding, and status.
Review this information carefully because some of it may appear throughout the organizer experience or on the public fundraiser page.
Campaign Goals & Dates #
Open Campaign Goals & Dates to review or manage the campaign’s fundraising goals and schedule.
Depending on the fundraiser, this section can include:
- Fundraising goal
- Activity-related goals
- Campaign start date
- Campaign end date
Campaign dates are important because they determine the fundraiser’s active period and can affect activity tracking, communications, deadlines, and campaign status.
Activity Goals #
Activity-based campaigns can include an additional section for the goals associated with that campaign type.
For example, a Read-a-thon can include Reading Goals, where organizers configure reading targets and participation goals.
Other activity-based campaign types, such as a Move-a-thon, can use the activity goals appropriate for that fundraiser.
Only configure activity goals that apply to the selected campaign type.
Classroom Participation #
Open Classroom Participation to manage participation associated with the fundraiser.
For school campaigns, this area can help manage participating:
- Teachers
- Classrooms
- Students
Accurate classroom and participant relationships are important because they can affect parent claiming, student activity, classroom progress, leaderboards, and reporting.
Communication Settings #
Open Communication Settings to configure the communication options available for the campaign.
This area can include campaign communications such as:
- Reminders
- Alerts
- Campaign updates
Communication settings help organizers keep participating families and other eligible users informed during the fundraiser.
Review these settings before and during an active campaign so communications match the fundraiser’s needs.
Fundraiser Page Settings #
Open Fundraiser Page Settings to manage available donor-facing campaign page options and content.
These settings affect how the fundraiser is presented to supporters.
Depending on the campaign, this can include content or display options associated with the public fundraising experience.
After changing fundraiser-page settings, use Preview Fundraiser Page to review the page before relying on the changes publicly.
Donation Settings #
Open Donation Settings to manage available donation-related campaign options.
The page can include settings for features such as:
- Suggested donation amounts
- Anonymous donations
- Receipts
Review donation settings carefully because they directly affect the supporter donation experience.
Donation records themselves are managed separately through the Donations area of the Organizer Dashboard.
Campaign Health #
Open Campaign Health to review the campaign’s current readiness and integration status.
Campaign Health can help you review areas such as:
- Integrations
- Publishing status
- Campaign readiness
Use this section when you want to confirm that the campaign is properly configured and ready for participants and supporters.
If Campaign Health identifies a problem, resolve the issue before making unnecessary changes elsewhere in the campaign.
Danger Zone #
The Danger Zone contains actions that can significantly affect the campaign.
Depending on the available controls, this area can include actions to:
- Close the campaign
- Archive the campaign
- Move the campaign to Trash
Use these actions carefully.
Do not close, archive, or move a campaign to Trash simply to correct ordinary campaign information.
Before using a Danger Zone action, make sure you understand its effect on the fundraiser.
Preview Fundraiser Page #
Select Preview Fundraiser Page to review the donor-facing fundraiser page.
This is especially useful after changing:
- Campaign information
- Branding
- Fundraiser-page content
- Donation settings
- Other public-facing options
Check that the fundraiser looks and behaves as expected before sharing it with supporters.
What does Sync Campaign do? #
The Sync Campaign action is used to synchronize the campaign with the connected DashPledge campaign components.
Use it when an appropriate campaign change needs to be synchronized through the available organizer workflow.
You should not repeatedly use Sync Campaign as a troubleshooting workaround.
If information continues to appear incorrectly after an appropriate sync, review Campaign Health or contact DashPledge Support.
Saving your changes #
After making changes, select Save Changes.
Do not leave the page assuming that an unsaved change has been applied.
After saving important changes, review the appropriate campaign area to confirm that the update appears correctly.
For public-facing changes, use Preview Fundraiser Page.
Why are some settings different between campaigns? #
DashPledge adjusts campaign features according to the fundraiser type.
For example:
Read-a-thon campaigns can include reading goals and reading-minute participation.
Move-a-thon campaigns can use the movement or activity configuration appropriate for that campaign.
Custom and other fundraiser types may use different settings.
This means two DashPledge campaigns do not necessarily display identical Campaign Settings.
Can I change settings after the fundraiser starts? #
Some campaign settings may remain available while a fundraiser is active.
However, changing important settings after participants have begun using the campaign can affect the fundraiser experience.
Before changing an active campaign, consider the effect on:
- Teachers and classrooms
- Students
- Parent participation
- Activity tracking
- Fundraising goals
- Public fundraiser pages
- Donations
- Communications
- Leaderboards
- Reporting
Use additional care with changes that affect active participants or public information.
What if I accidentally change a setting? #
If you know the previous value and the setting can safely be restored, change it back and select Save Changes.
Then review the affected part of the fundraiser.
If you’re unsure what was changed or how to safely restore it, contact DashPledge Support rather than making additional changes.
What if Campaign Health shows a problem? #
Review the issue shown in Campaign Health before changing unrelated settings.
If the problem cannot be resolved using the available campaign controls, contact DashPledge Support and provide information about the affected campaign and the health issue being displayed.
What if I need help with Campaign Settings? #
At the bottom of Campaign Settings, use View Help Guide to open the available Campaign Settings documentation.
You can also select Contact Support when you need additional assistance.
Do not send passwords, payment credentials, or other sensitive information in a support request.
What’s next? #
After configuring your campaign, use:
- Preview Fundraiser Page to review the supporter experience
- Fundraiser Participants to manage campaign participation
- Global Leaderboard to monitor eligible campaign-wide progress
- Donations to review donation activity
- Reports to review campaign performance
