Joining DashPledge as a teacher #
If your school is running a fundraiser with DashPledge, you can connect your teacher account to the participating school and campaign.
Once connected, your Teacher Dashboard gives you access to the students and classroom tools available for the fundraiser.
Before you begin #
Make sure your school is already participating in a DashPledge fundraiser.
It can help to have:
- Your school name
- Your school email address
- Information provided by your school or fundraiser organizer
- Your classroom or grade information, when applicable
If your school provided a specific signup or invitation link, use that link when possible.
1. Start the signup process #
Open the DashPledge signup page or the invitation link provided by your school.
If you already have a DashPledge account, sign in with your existing account when appropriate instead of creating a duplicate account.
2. Select Teacher #
Choose Teacher as your role when asked how you’re participating in the fundraiser.
Selecting the correct role is important because DashPledge uses your role to provide the appropriate dashboard and permissions.
3. Find your school #
Search for or select the school associated with your fundraiser.
Review the school information carefully before continuing.
If you don’t see your school, confirm that the school is participating in DashPledge and that you’re using the correct signup information.
4. Connect to the school fundraiser #
After selecting your school, DashPledge will connect your teacher account to the appropriate participating fundraiser when the required information is available.
Depending on the campaign setup, you may also see information about your classroom, grade, or participating students.
5. Complete your teacher account #
Review the information shown during signup and complete the registration process.
After your teacher account is successfully connected, you can access your Teacher Dashboard.
What can I do from the Teacher Dashboard? #
Depending on the campaign type and your permissions, your Teacher Dashboard may allow you to:
- View assigned students
- Monitor student participation
- Log activity
- Track classroom progress
- View fundraising progress
- View leaderboards
- Monitor student achievements
Available features depend on the fundraiser your school is running.
How are students assigned to me? #
Participating students are associated with teachers through the school’s fundraiser roster.
Once your teacher account is correctly connected, students assigned to your classroom can appear in your teacher tools.
Teachers should not create duplicate students when an expected student is missing.
What if my student list is empty? #
First, confirm that:
- You’re connected to the correct school
- You’re connected to the correct fundraiser
- You’re signed in with the correct teacher account
Your students may not appear if the roster hasn’t yet been completed or if the students are associated with another teacher.
If your account information is correct but your students are still missing, visit Troubleshooting or contact the fundraiser organizer.
What if I can’t find my school? #
Check the school name and make sure you’re using the correct DashPledge signup or invitation link.
If the school still doesn’t appear, don’t create a duplicate school.
Contact your fundraiser organizer or DashPledge Support for assistance.
What if I selected the wrong school? #
Don’t create another teacher account to correct the problem.
Contact DashPledge Support or the appropriate fundraiser organizer so the account connection can be reviewed.
Do teachers manage donations? #
Teachers can see fundraising progress when those features are available, but organization-level donation management and payouts are handled through the appropriate organizer tools.
Your Teacher Dashboard is primarily designed for classroom participation and progress.
Can teachers claim students? #
No. A teacher’s classroom relationship and a parent’s child-claim relationship serve different purposes.
Teachers can work with students assigned to their classroom, while parents or guardians claim eligible children through their own DashPledge accounts.
What’s next? #
Once your teacher account is connected, continue with the Teachers & Classrooms guides to learn how to:
- View your assigned students
- Log reading minutes
- Track classroom progress
- Use classroom leaderboards
- Monitor student achievements
