Understanding your payout schedule #
Your organization’s payout schedule determines how Stripe schedules eligible available funds to be sent to your connected bank account.
You can review your current payout schedule from:
Settings → Payout Setup → Payout Schedule
DashPledge displays the schedule associated with your connected Stripe account, while Stripe controls the actual payout timing and fund availability.
Where can I see my payout schedule? #
Sign in to your DashPledge Organizer Dashboard.
Then:
- Select Settings.
- Select Payout Setup.
- Scroll to Payout Schedule.
Your current schedule will be displayed in this section.
For example, your connected account may show:
Daily
The schedule shown depends on the configuration of your connected Stripe account.
What does Daily mean? #
If your Payout Schedule shows Daily, Stripe is configured to initiate eligible payouts according to its daily payout schedule.
This does not mean every donation you receive will arrive in your bank account the same day.
A donation must first complete the applicable payment-processing period and become available for payout.
How do I change my payout schedule? #
From:
Settings → Payout Setup → Payout Schedule
select Manage Schedule.
Follow the available Stripe account controls to review or change the payout schedule when your connected account supports that option.
The schedules available to you are determined by Stripe and your connected account.
Does DashPledge control my payout schedule? #
DashPledge provides access to the payout configuration associated with your connected account.
However, Stripe controls the actual payout timing and fund availability.
This means DashPledge should not be used to manually force funds to become available before Stripe makes them eligible for payout.
How does a donation become eligible for payout? #
A typical fundraiser transaction moves through several stages:
Donation completed → Pending Balance → Available Balance → Stripe payout → Organization bank account
The time spent at each stage can vary.
What is Pending Balance? #
Pending Balance represents funds that are still processing through Stripe.
These funds aren’t yet available for payout.
Recent fundraiser donations may initially appear as pending.
What is Available Balance? #
Available Balance represents funds that Stripe currently considers available for payout.
Once funds become available, they can be included in an eligible payout according to the connected account’s payout schedule.
Does Available Balance mean the money is already in my bank? #
No.
Available means the funds are ready for the Stripe payout process.
After Stripe sends a payout, your bank or financial institution may still require additional time to post the funds.
Why didn’t today’s donation arrive today if my schedule is Daily? #
A Daily payout schedule does not eliminate payment-processing time.
A newly received donation may still be in Pending Balance and therefore unavailable for payout.
Once Stripe makes the funds available, they can move through the applicable payout schedule.
Does DashPledge always pay organizations every Friday? #
No.
DashPledge does not require every organization to use a fixed Friday payout schedule.
The applicable schedule is the one associated with your connected Stripe account.
Check:
Settings → Payout Setup → Payout Schedule
to see your organization’s current configuration.
Can different organizations have different schedules? #
Yes.
The payout configuration available for a connected Stripe account can depend on Stripe, the account, and other applicable payment conditions.
Do not assume another DashPledge organization’s payout schedule will be identical to yours.
Can I request an immediate payout? #
Available payout options are determined by Stripe and your connected account.
Use Manage Schedule or Open Stripe to review the payout options available to your organization.
DashPledge should not promise that an immediate payout option is available for every connected account.
Where can I see whether funds are ready? #
Go to:
Settings → Payout Setup
and review:
- Available Balance — funds currently available for Stripe payout
- Pending Balance — funds still processing through Stripe
- Recent Paid Out — summary of recent payout activity
These amounts can help explain why a particular donation hasn’t yet reached your bank account.
Where can I see completed payouts? #
Scroll to Recent Payouts on the Payout Setup page.
Available information can include:
- Date
- Amount
- Method
This gives you a record of recent Stripe payout activity for the connected account.
What does Standard mean? #
If a payout shows Standard under Method, it indicates the applicable standard Stripe payout method used for that transaction.
The payout methods available to your organization are determined by Stripe.
Can weekends or holidays affect payout timing? #
The time required for funds to reach your bank can depend on Stripe, the banking system, and the financial institution receiving the payout.
A configured payout schedule should not be interpreted as a guarantee that funds will post to a bank account on a particular calendar day.
Can refunds affect my next payout? #
Yes.
Refunds can affect pending, available, or future payout information depending on when the refund occurs relative to the original transaction and payout.
The underlying transaction should remain accurately recorded even after a refund.
Can disputes affect my payout schedule? #
A dispute can affect funds associated with the disputed transaction.
While a dispute does not necessarily change the payout schedule itself, it can affect balances and the amount available for payout.
Does changing my schedule change my campaign? #
No.
Your payout schedule controls the movement of eligible fundraiser proceeds through Stripe.
It does not change:
- Campaign dates
- Fundraising goal
- Student fundraising progress
- Activity progress
- Leaderboards
- Campaign status
These are separate parts of DashPledge.
Does changing the payout schedule affect students or parents? #
No.
Students and parents don’t receive the organization’s fundraiser payouts.
Student mini-fundraisers remain connected to the organization’s overall campaign, and eligible proceeds continue through the organization’s connected Stripe account.
What if Manage Schedule doesn’t let me change anything? #
The options available are determined by Stripe and the connected account.
Select Open Stripe and review the account for additional payout settings or requirements.
If you still need help understanding the available options, contact DashPledge Support.
What if my payout is late? #
First, go to:
Settings → Payout Setup
Review:
- Pending Balance
- Available Balance
- Recent Paid Out
- Payout Schedule
- Recent Payouts
- Stripe Connect status
Then select Open Stripe to check for outstanding account requirements or additional payout information.
If the payout still cannot be explained, contact DashPledge Support.
Should I disconnect Stripe to fix a payout problem? #
No.
Do not use Disconnect as a general payout troubleshooting step.
Disconnecting the connected account can affect payment and payout functionality.
If the account shows Connected but you have a payout problem, investigate the balances, schedule, recent payouts, and Stripe requirements first.
Protecting your financial information #
When managing payouts, never send:
- Online banking passwords
- Stripe passwords
- Complete bank-account credentials
- Full payment card numbers
- Card security codes
Use Manage Bank, Manage Schedule, or Open Stripe for secure financial-account changes.
